Purchased ad-free version twice— still get ads – Crossword Quiz - Word Puzzles! Review

I selected an option to remove ads for $2. I’ve done this two separate times. The second time I was without ads for about 30 seconds then the ad bar was back and I received ads during puzzles. I’m incredibly disappointed as I like this crossword game but have tried twice to purchase it ad-free and it does not work. I’ve tried logging in and out of Facebook and trying to restore purchases. Nothing has worked.
