Enjoyable app, but having some trouble – New Gratitude Journal Review

I have been enjoying this app I purchased, but a couple things- the settings are in white type on a white screen so I am unable to enter my birthday or see the other options very well. I am also unable to move the cursor to edit bullet points without deleting the entire thing. Besides these things I have liked using it this week. I feel that for an app which charges money, these issues should be resolved.
