Still needs improvement. – Operate Now: Hospital Review

While I do enjoy this game, and the beginning is fun, there are some things that need to be added. 1. There should be a tutorial for the first time a patient doesn’t do well in surgery, for the airway closing and heart restart and allergic reaction. First time doing them I lost lots of hearts because I had no idea I was supposed to tap where and when the game had blue circles. It was really confusing. 2. You should be able to buy the staff you need. I have 4 surgeons, but only 4 nurses. And nurses run a lot of rooms and are needed for assignments and cases. It’s really annoying. And even though I have a CV, I have no idea where to find it or how to use it. 3. Everything is expensive, and the reward for cases and such is minimal, so you have to wait until you earn 60,000 for almost everything: upgrades, recruitment (hiring another person), expansion. It costs less to open a new department than to upgrade your existing one. 4. During surgery, when using the forceps for bone reconstruction, the tray and bone fragments are so near the top of the screen, I constantly pull my notification tab down, which interrupts the game, and it’s really annoying. Also, when doing stitches, sometimes it won’t let me put stitches in and I lose hearts for no reason. I’m outside of the wound site, and move my finger far enough to reach the other side to close it, but it just makes me lose hearts and won’t let me actually stitch it up. It’s frustrating. The game is fun, and the surgeries become easier because they all just repeat, but these things make it hard to want to keep playing after a while. Upgrading staff helps, but when you can’t pick what staff to hire and end up with an unbalanced hospital, it’s just annoying. Then you’re not running a hospital but instead trying to make missions work with not correct staffing.
