Pointless scam centric app – happn: Dating, Chat & Meet Review

Where do I start. This app has a good premise. I honestly like the idea of it and that’s why I downloaded it and spent the time creating an account. Things even looked good once I got going on it . The app immediately started showing me matches based on my current location . As I had not moved since creating the profile I didn’t think much of the fact I only was shown a hand full of matches . Two of which I sent a “hello” as the app calls it . As I had to go through a two step authentication when creating I felt these might be real people . And they were fairly attractive, which cannot be said about most people on most dating apps . So i was excited to start using this app. But that’s where the good ends . I live in a highly populated area , and I work a few towns over in a also highly populated area . So you would assume I would “happn” across some more matches . However since the initial 10 or so matches , the app continues to tell me I have not found any more matches. Which again is surprising as I have been out and about at many stores . Mall for Christmas shopping , a popular bar in town . And of course driving around my large city . All while having the app running and location set to “always on”. Surprisingly the app does tell me I have new “likes” . Which is confusing as how can I be showing up to people if they are not showing up to me ? And naturally without paying a fee, you are not allowed to see your “likes”. There does not appear to be any settings as far as how far out you can search for people, only settings for age . Even the “globe “ feature where you can see where you might have come across someone only loads and loads never showing any information . Also, one of the 2 “hellos” I sent upon creating the app did actually respond . With a phone number that was out of state . Against my better judgment I texted it , thinking I had to jump through hoops to set my account up I would assume everyone else did as well and maybe this person is real but just has a out of state number well the individual immediately responded with a link to a porn site or escort site . So it’s obvious to me that if this app would actually show me matches , which it does not, it is going to be riddled with fake spam accounts . at the end of the day the app is BAD and Doesn’t seem to be worth the time and effort
