Loopholes and Bugs – Trivia Crack Kingdoms Review

Trivia games are great, and Trivia Crack has the potential to be one of the best out there. Kingdoms focuses on categories of questions that are specific to topics you can pick and choose. Want to test your knowledge about your favorite TV show? Great! With Kingdoms you can do just that. However, while this nifty focus is Kingdoms greatest merit, it is also its biggest downfall. Channels in Kingdoms are moderated by its users, and this means that all questions are created by users. Unfortunately that means the questions are riddled with spelling and grammar errors, incorrect answers, or just overall utter nonsense. While you can vote questions Fun or Boring (thumbs up, thumbs down), little is done to rectify the horrible structure of the questions. On top of this, when creating your own channel and adding your own questions, there are bugs in place that prevent you from typing certain characters, such as apostrophes, and thus only quantifies the aforementioned problem with user moderates questions. These bugs have survived for a VERY long time as well it seems, and that’s likely an example of the level of dev support you can expect. Trivia Crack has also gone across tad overboard on the ads, presenting one nearly after every question, and also presenting you with opportunities to watch even more ads in between those for various power ups or question. support. This provides a HUGE problem when going head to head against another player, as you are given the opportunity to watch an ad in the event of a wrong answer to simply... try again. I’m sorry, but in a trivia contest, a wrong answer is just that, and you shouldn’t be offered an opportunity to try again. It sort of defeats the purpose, and makes victory feel cheap and undeserved. My advice to the developers: decrease the amount of advertisements shown, and simply offer a cheap method of removing them all together. Also get rid of the second chance opportunities. They are a blight on trivia games. My advice to gamers: Trivia Crack is a fun game, but it has a shelf life. Don’t get too excited about creating your own channel, as the bugs will drive you insane, and the down votes you receive from players because they simply don’t know the answers is eyeroll-inducing.
