Why did you change the pencil button?! – Nonogram - IQ Logic Pic Puzzle Review

Before I could hit the pencil button and it would go back and forth between the Xs and the pencil. Now it doesn’t and I have tried to do the puzzle and end up putting Xs where I shouldn’t and vice verse. Can you change it back to where the same button can do either or?
