Yikes – Art of Conquest : Airships Review

In terms of the gameplay, I think the game is brilliant. The developers have done an awesome job recently of adding in new events, modernizing the game, fixing bugs, balancing the races, etc. I love the game, I have spent money on the game, and I have invested hours into the game. I have made a lot of friends here too. One of the main problems are the Chinese players who have the “crush all foreigners” mentality: since they pay much less than everybody else for in game purchases (not sure why this is still happening) this is more than possible to accomplish. They band together in massive teams and they move servers with the one goal of crushing everybody who isn’t Chinese. I went into the game knowing about this, but I found the impossible server where there were barely any Chinese players. Everybody shared cities, and we rotated rewards with all who were active. We accepted all ‘refugees’ who were fleeing from the oppressive Chinese in their servers. Including a few players who payed 190 scrolls to migrate to us (95k linari ~ $1,319). What happens in a few weeks? Lilith forcibly merges us with the same Chinese server that those players just payed over $1000 to get out of. We asked them to reconsider, and they basically copy and pasted the same message to everybody in broken English that there was nothing they can do (which is what they have done every time that we have ever asked them anything). Our top players are around 1800k core power, and the server that we got forcibly merged with has a player above 5000k core power. Some people are even accusing Lilith of being corrupt and heavily biased towards it’s Chinese players. Other people say that Lilith employees play the game and bully non-Chinese players. Regardless of whether these accusations have any merit, there are clearly some thing going on behind the scenes. Me and my friends will be getting bullied for 2 months until we even have the option of spending money to leave drake, where we will then migrate servers and wait for the next forcible merge by Lilith. Many of my players have already quit the game. I am trying to illicit change here, not simply tear down the developers, or anything like that. I hope they actually read and understand this message.
