Would love to give it 5 stars but ... – Armament 2028 Review

I am a very big fan of these types of war games. In the old days we were called grognards ... LOL ... It's a great turn based war game with the cardboard chits replaced with simple royalty free graphic icons. Nothing fancy about the graphics but they work ok … Infantry is infantry and armor is armor and plane is plane ... Here are some of the reasons why it's NOT 5 stars ... No instructions on units characteristics or capabilities. Those of us that have played this type of game before can figure out most of this but newbies will have a problem. Add some simple units screens. Might just help sales … Nudge nudge wink wink ... The touch interface is troublesome at times and needs a few tweaks. You touch and it scrolls, you want to scroll and it moves a unit. Bad, very bad sometime. I have played a lot of games and scenarios and I swear that at times the enemy units play by a different set of rules. I have seen units shoot twice, something no friendly unit can do. I have see artillery move and shoot in the same turn, again something a friendly unit cannot do … Give me units screens or at least tell folks that the enemy units have better capabilities. Some of the unit icons dim after use but some do not seem to change. Not a big problem but a pain in the butt. And for my biggest reason … Give me a speed up button … There is no animation so why make me sit and watch 2 unit health bars go down when they engage (fight) tic tic tic one at a time … How tough can the math be LOL … Total waste of time and makes the games last at least twice as long as they should. At least for me. These guys have been doing this some time now … And they have my money already as I even bought all the power ups available. Thus I have bought everything you have for sale … So I do like the game … Its just not 5 stars … As for the "undo" button … You give 5 save slots so no real need for undo unless you need to undo every turn … Ouch. Bottomline … Well worth the price of admission … Buy often and hope they read these reviews and update the app. Robert9001
