Can’t believe how good this is – Calorie Counter by Cronometer Review

Just wow. I’m a long time food and activity tracker, and have used most of them. I always ended up back with MyFitnessPal, but kind of hated it. It was definitely quick since I’d had it for years, and over that time inserted lots of recipes, etc. But still, I was always disappointed when it came to the accuracy of the data and the nutrition information. MyFitnessPal is one of the best, to be sure, but focuses heavily on calories. Cronometer does all that, easily as well as MFP, but the level of detail, analysis and support when it comes to actual nutrition is just the best, no question. I can’t even believe it. I wasn’t going to write a review on this, I rarely review things, but when I came across the “Ask the Oracle” feature, I felt like these people have been so thoughtful with their app, that I immediately stopped using it, and came here to write the review. While the app has many superb and distinctive other features, the Ask the Oracle feature lets me immediately ask what kind of foods might help me increase a mineral or vitamin, etc, so let’s say I see that my vitamin K levels are low (easily spotted by the app), I go to the Oracle and select vitamin K, and it pops up (a) the daily target, (b) a list of ranked foods with their Vitamin K values per 100g, (c) the caloric value of that amount. It’s pretty incredible, really. And while all of this is available via some googling action, I don’t know where you could get both an analysis of your diet’s deficiencies along with a very slick way to address that. There’s tons more I’d like to write about, but as noted, I rarely write review and this is enough. Suffice it to say, you’d be doing very well if you want a real diet tracker for real health, that’s very easy to use, and you choose this one.
