A good start, but with some bugs. – Comic Heroes: the superhero comics magazine Review

First of all, let me make clear that, unlike earlier reviewers, I do understand how Newstand works. The app is free, then you subscribe if you want to read the magazine. However, I do feel that giving one free (even if it's a few months out of date) would help people make a decision whether or not to plunk down the money for a subscription. This is especially important for a magazine with a high subscription price, such as this one. I felt safe gambling on MacLife for $.99/month. Asking $30 up front ask for a bit more faith. I ended up buying a single issue to evaluate it, but that $7.99 would have gone a long way toward that subscription price. Also, I'm not going to review the magazine content. While I understand that the content is relevant to a review, I also feel that it's largely subjective. The problems I have are with the app itself. It doesn't keep track of where you left off in the magazine. You can multi-task out and back into the app and be ok, but if you pick up reading a day later, you have to figure out where you were. Secondly, it crashed. A lot. Especially as I got toward the end of the magazine. Fix these two issues and you have a great app.
