RIGGED!!! ????? – Boxing Star Review

Ok, so the game starts off pretty fun, and there are some decent aspects of game play, but it gets impossibly hard way too quickly — ESPECIALLY “Story Mode”. The opponents are so fast, you can hardly dodge them, and when you do dodge them, they’re still somehow able to recover dodge your return punch. It’s yet another game that is structured so you get into it and like it, but then have to pay really world money if you want to upgrade your player enough to actually compete. I’m so sick of all these “free” apps that try to sucker you into buying in-game purchases. If I were to purchase the in-game perks for all my apps, I’d be spending hundreds of dollars a month — on top of still having to watch ads between rounds/levels. If it weren’t for the purchase requirements, and I could succeed by just playing well and using the upgrades provided by gameplay, it would be a 5-star game, but they ruin it by being greedy. I mean, I was playing and accidentally hit a button to bypass a waiting period for 50 gold bars (which are EXTREMELY hard to come by) — no confirmation that I wanted to purchase, it just took the gold bars for some useless one round perk. Of course when I reached out to customer support, I got no response. I’ve reached about for a couple issues and not heard back regarding any of them. So, basically yet another developer trying to bleed the user through in-app purchases and doesn’t even provide any support. Maybe I’m being a little harsh, but it’s just far too endemic w all these apps. Do they really think players are going to spend real money for every app? It’s one thing to spend $.99 to remove ads (a minor annoyance), but to make (multiple) purchases necessary to succeed & progress (along w revenue generating ads) is just greedy and obnoxious. They’re so close to having a great game, but ruined it w their money hungry setup. Now I remember why I stopped playing for several months.
