a wolf in sheep's clothing – Sky: Children of the Light Review

They never mention the game is half horror. Their official Discord server is virtually unpoliced and TGC have proven unwilling to enforce their own rules in all but the most extreme cases, which I find to be unsafe. It's a shame because the nice parts are quite nice and the economics aren't all that obtrusive. The social interaction in-game is well engineered against trolling, but without Discord to fill in the many, many gaps in the presentation, the game is a shallow grind-fest. The end-game is extreme (months & 100's of hours), the costs for buying your way there are pretty absurd (a $50 cape?), and the best IAP _requires_ someone else, so the social aspect is a double-edged sword in that regard. It's still a better model than any F2P so far, but sloppy attention to detail for the grind it demands, exacerbated by problematic controls and camera issues, plus inexcusable bugs and truly awful server sync performance with friends make it extremely irritating for players who are willing to pay any real attention—monetarily or otherwise.
