Needs Improvement – Tank Stars Review

I’ve played this game for several days and even spent a couple bucks on some items. Overall it’s okay, I like the tank types and that the upgrades actually do seem to make a significant difference. What I hate the most though is how many advertisements there are. I understand the developers need to make money but I have to watch a minute of ads for every several minutes of gameplay which is ridiculous. There are two 30 second ads after each match and additional ads show up during gameplay and when you open a chest. It’s too much and so it’s worth paying to remove the ads to make this game more playable. The second thing I dislike is the balance is wayyy off on this game. Frost tank is super overpowered and a seasoned player can easily kill you in one hit using frostbite or two using the blizzard + frostbite combo. This makes the game frustrating to play because a good player can easily kill you without you even having a chance at fighting back, whoever fires first basically wins if you know how to place your shots. Also, as others have mentioned, sometimes my tank randomly explodes at the beginning of a match and I have to watch another minute of ads before I can play again. Ridiculous! I’ll keep this game on my phone but I really don’t want to play it until the tanks are better balanced and two players of equal skill actually have an equal chance of winning. Perhaps a handicap for the player that fires second would be nice or at the very least some of the overpowered attacks need to be nerfed. League play would also be nice instead of randomized PvP battles. I hope the developers see this and make improvements to make the game more enjoyable as well as figuring out how to make as revenue without making the game packed with ads which ironically led to me downloading other games which offered a better gameplay experience.
