Controls need to be tightened – Candy Boy Review

I like action puzzlers a lot and Candy Boy is a good game in that regard. There's nothing fancy or anything entirely new here: it's simple platforming and using the old noggin to figure out some of the harder puzzles. Aside from the developer's weird choice in theme song -- the Christmas song "Up on the Housetop" -- (weird because this isn't a Christmas game) the only real issue with Candy Boy is the controls which make platforming inaccurate and a chore. You have to make Candy Boy accelerate for a few seconds in order to clear gaps which leads to a LOT of cheap deaths. This can be fixed in an update and I'd give them another star if they did.
