Only located to within 1 room – Find Bluetooth: device tracker Review

The numbers waggle around so much, even when I stood still, that all I could tell was that it was in the bedroom, and more likely to be in/near the bed. We'd already searched the bed thoroughly, but it was still more useful than it sounds, keeping us from going on wild goose chases in other places (much. I did get my highest signal in a closet twenty feet away. ) Long story short, we did find it, right where we'd looked several times near the pillows. My husband theorizes that it had been hiding inside a pillowcase and eventually got shaken out by our search. Who knew Heisenberg applies at the macro level? :--) I hasten to add that I would give the same review, and the same 3 stars, to the different (free) iPhone app that my husband was using at the same time. It waggled just as much. Maybe all such apps are the same, but I don't understand the reviews about the app taking people to the exact spot. So starting with 3 stars for functionality: +1 because does NOT require having already paired the app (nor the phone) with the lost device. Come on, you'd already lost your device before you came looking for this appt, right? -1 because of ads, although since I only did one search I didn't really have to deal with them. Mostly the -1 is for offering a $1.99 upgrade for unlimited searches, nothing wrong with that, except the offer was COMPLETELY AMBIGUOUS as to whether the price was "today only" or whether the upgraded functionality would work "today only". -2 stars for dishonest practice of paying for 5 star reviews. Actually this makes me so angry I'd subtract whatever number of stars were needed to get down to 1 star. (Hint: you can change your rating afterwards, through the App Store.)
