Seemingly random and inaccurate results – Speedtest by Ookla Review

The readings I get from this app seem to be completely random and unrelated to the actual performance of my internet. I’ll be downloading a game at an abysmal 100 KB/s on Steam (as opposed to the usual 6 to 8 MB/s); I use the app, and the app tells me my download speed is 80 MB/s. I’ll be experiencing abnormally awful lag in a shooter game; I’ll use the app, and it tells me my internet (i.e. download speed, upload speed, ping, latency, etc.) is faster than it has ever been. In short, I have experienced nothing from this app so far that would indicate that it can accurately measure my internet speed whatsoever.
