Yes, it’s a big deal – Tales of Wind Review

I didn’t get past the character creation point because I couldn’t choose skin tone. Developers’ excuse is that this is based on a Japanese manga and in that manga there are no other races. Then why offer any customization if you don’t want to deviate from the confines of a manga? If this is just based on a manga, but players can choose their appearance and how they play in this world, then what’s stopping players from being different skin tones? Seems like a poor excuse. Maybe this is ok in a homogeneous country like Japan, but if you’re going to make a global release, you need to localize your game. And the options for customization were extremely limited and boring. Voice acting was atrocious but hilarious.
