Great running app – Running Slimkit - Lose Weight Review

I ever wrote app reviews, but I LOVE this app. If you are looking for something to ease you into a running routine that won’t injure or stress out your body this is right for you. I’ve been using it for about 8 weeks and can now easily run 4+ miles and feel great after. I was looking for a basic app that could get me going and keep me on track on a running routine. At time of purchase I considered myself a “casual jogger” but I have a tendency to pretend I’m 20 again and overdo it when I run then get injured. This eased me back into a good routine and keeps me motivated to keep going! Here’s what I like about this app: Simple interface. Push the go button and start running. I wanted something that didn’t talk to me a lot and gave me a breakdown of important info like where and how far I ran and calories burned. This does just that. The app basically tells you to “walk” or “run” or “sprint” for a certain amount of time. Simple and perfect for me. The gps is reliable and you can adjust how much the app speaks to you. I like that it gives you periodic updates on time elapsed, distance covered, calories burned, and average speed so I don’t need to look at my phone to know my stats. It also tells you when you are halfway finished with your run so you know to turn around (I spent the last few weeks running on unfamiliar country roads so this was very valuable to me so as not to stray to far). There’s a lot of extra “stuff” the app offers like meal plans and hydration tracker, but I don’t have interest in that stuff so I don’t use it. They also do not harass you to use those estar things so they’re easy to ignore if, like me, you just want a running app. Things I don’t like: The app provides music to play during your run but I haven’t listed to it so can’t comment on its quality. Instead I play from my iTunes. This might be the only thing I’ve had issues with— when you adjust the volume to your music it sometimes mutes the app— my solution is simply to quickly pause then restart the workout and that resets the volume. So basically it’s not a problem! I love this app. I amazing myself by how easy it is to run longer and longer distances. I’ve lost weight, toned up and feel strong!
