It’s gotten worse – Evolution 2: Battle for Utopia Review

Downgrading to 2 stars. Since the update even simple missions have become a tedious frustratingly difficult chore. Enemies don’t need to even hit you but their splash damage is big enough that a few can create no where to go, and it’s compounded by other enemy attacks taking up 1/4th of the screen. Suddenly I can’t research shotguns anymore so I’m stuck with the worst one. Between all the different resources, energy, research, and upgrade costs you are forever falling behind. Can’t mine metal anymore because the mine dried up, need to research the next level mining, can’t do that because I’m not level 58 yet. And I bet it will cost so much I’ll have research storage and then need metal to upgrade the storage, in order to get metal. The game is one big resource bottle neck with repetitive play resulting in boring frustration.
