Zero stars: deceptive presentation, immediate pay wall – Logic Path! Review

The positive reviews were all written a year ago when it was free to play, probably with ads, like normal apps. It’s fine if an app developer wants to make money by selling its games. Making games is hard work and that’s why “free-to-play” games have so many ads: Nobody’s sitting around making games just to make the world happy. devs need to eat, too. BUT it’s super uncool to present your game as a stand-alone, then throw a subscription paywall at you, telling you that it’s such a great deal because you get access to all these other games, too. I don’t want a million other games, I want *this* one. And not for a price tag that gets higher every week. I loved monument valley (different developer, btw) so thought I’d really enjoy this one. Probably really would, too, if only I could actually purchase it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sorry, devs, you made a bad move. Well, maybe you didn’t, because this preys on the ignorant and technologically illiterate, and you’ll be making plenty from people’s mistakes with your flashy advertisements and super shiny free trial offer. You’ve lost tons of customers, but maybe that doesn’t matter to you.
