Recording to identify doesn’t work – Bird Song Id USA songs & calls Review

I’ve tried numerous times to record/identify bird calls, which is the main reason I got this app. It flat out doesn’t work. Perhaps if there was a single bird calling, non-stop, with no background noise whatsoever, I’d have better luck. But when does that ever happen? Note: the bird calls I’m recording are the dominant sound & I have made 30 second recordings. Very disappointing.
