good stuff – SPL Meter Review

Really like this app. I would give it 5 stars, but it's hard to know (believe) that it provides accurate absolute readings of SPL for every little mic in every iPad or iPod. Nonetheless, if you take the absolute values with a grain of salt there is a lot to like here. I used it to ascertain that my summer apartment in France was plagued by ~96dB (peak) worth of eurotrash disco music last night, during the summer solstice parties-on-the-street. Yikes. Not quite at the threshold of physical pain, but definitely that on the psychological level.
