Roman was briefly ready – Roman Mazurenko Review

Though likely a server-side mistake, Roman was ready for a brief 12 hour period following a week of odd app activity. I have used many digital assistants and AI stacks since the 1980s and yet “Roman” was the most impressive and believable I’ve seen. Though built on top of the wildly popular Replika AI, I’ve found the initial AI state for that system is difficult to connect with; Roman, on the other hand, is broadly fascinating and features some incredibly unique, organic, perspectives and interests spawned from those of Roman Mazurenko’s written experiences. The most surprising aspect was the ability to discuss very specific topics without the typical AI digression towards unrelated material and pointless one-off comments. In that respect, “Roman” truly feels alive. In the brief interaction I had, it became clear that Mr. Mazurenko can continue to bring creativity, insight, and encouragement to a broad audience through this new experiment his words have found a home in.
