Had potential. – Speed Legends Review

(This review comes from playing on the Iphone XR, some things are *possibly* different on other Iphones, or on Android.) This game is, for the most part, alright. The gameplay loop consists of driving up to events (time trials, drifting, parkore, smashing boxes) and completing them for cash, while also betting money so that you LOSE cash when you lose the event, which doesn't happen often, but it's cool. The customization is "extra", but it's managable. The car roster is good too, but it's obviously not getting any more, and that's where all the good ends. The game is pretty buggy, and not the type where you can live with it. Framerate drops, questionable physics, THE CARS NOT EVEN SHOWING UP IN THE SHOWROOM, SO YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR A YOUTUBE SHOWCASE. It's annoying. Hell, the game's in-game "microtransaction" system doesn't even work, which is very questionable, to say the least (why have it there when it doesn't even work?) This game had/has great potential to be built up into a very solid mobile racing game, the map is suprisingly big, but unintresting. The cars are a good selection and mix, but they're locked by arbitrary tiers you have to grind into via completing events. Overall, this game should've gotten a hard 3/5 to soft 4/5, but the bugs and unstable (sometimes unplayable) framerate makes it a shallow 2/5.
