Lazy App Developer – Invaluable Review

As you can see with the other reviews, and as I can attest to, there are numerous app shortcomings that have been known for well over a year including: - app doesn’t remember your username and password even though it says it will - app doesn’t send notifications even though you properly set up the app to do so - app will crash or lock up during auctions or sorting through search results. Another pain in the neck issue is: - app won’t let you filter search results as website. For instance, if I search for sapphire ring I have to wade through a ton of crap results from wanna be auction houses (seizes assets, jewelry liquidation, etc.). In short, invaluable charges you for the convenience of using the app by way of an increased buyers premium, however, I would argue that they provide little to no convenience.... quite the contrary. If I do not get notifications then I have to keep checking the status of the auction to ensure I do not miss a watched lot. I can’t tell you how many lots I missed as a result of not receiving notifications. Therefore, I recommend that users only use this app to help find an item, call the auction house to set up a phone bid. That way the auction house will call you when the lot comes up for sale and you will not miss it nor waste a ton of time watching an auction. Plus you will save on the buyers premium and won’t have to pay Invaluable for doing nothing.
