Do not download – Robotek Review

The beginning of the game is fun. Once you get past the learning curve, the game makes all of the decisions for you. It’s a slot-style way of choosing which robots you want, so you can only control 1 element of the game, and the rest is up to “chance”. You play against the computer, who, amazingly, gets the best choices. And after 20 turns, even if you’re winning, the computer literally uses a nuke and kills you anyway. What annoys me the most about this game, is that the losing party, somehow magically gets better chances near the end of the game. What I would recommend to the developers to make this game less rage-inducing: 1) change the slot-style system in place, to a system where we can choose what strategies we wish to employ. 1) get rid of the “better-chances-when-you’re-losing” gimmick.
