Nice concept but terrible execution – Odd Planet - A Little Girl Adventure Story Review

I was very excited about getting this platformer because it seemed interesting. So I waited for it to download and fired it up. Immediately I enjoyed the graphics and the premise of the story but it was soon a huge letdown because the controls are horrible and the ads are intrusive. It’s quite frustrating to start off a game that immediately offers an insta-death situation. Also there’s no way to adjust the controls to work better with your device, the only settings are language. Fix the two most annoying issues and it has the potential to be a great game. Perhaps a tutorial prequel level that is optional could help players get used to the game without being immersion breaking to players who don’t want to play a tutorial. Maybe a difficulty adjustment? I’m sorry but I had to delete it.
