Riddled with horrible bugs that ruin it—could be awesome – PlayGem Backgammon Live Online Review

This game has a lot of great features, and seems to have enough players available to never wait more than a few seconds for match up. Sadly the bugs in this review haven’t been fixed in the many moths since I first posted them.... 1) about 2% of the time (used to be 10%) when starting a new game it just spins and spins and the game doesn’t start. Upon finally exiting and re-entering the app, you have lost a point’s worth of currency! Horrendous experience, and they have no incentive to fix it since they sell said currency. 2) often I am randomly denied the ability to double for at least one entire game (for no discernible reason). Unless you exit and re enter the app this will happen the next game(s) too. 3) the app often stalls mid-game until you exit and relaunch. 4) if you lose connection for even a few seconds, sometimes the app won’t recover —at all— and I have to restart my device to play again (and you lose the game you’re playing). 5) sometimes if you’re on the bar and roll such that you can’t bear off, instead of automatically ending your turn the app does nothing, and you’re stuck unable to move or end your turn. You then lose the game when you time out a minute later. Another awful experience. 6) about half the time you just can’t move a piece from your 13pt to your 12pt. The piece just won’t stay if you drag it there or if you tap it and a 1 is your only possible move. I have also seen this happen to opponents. Very annoying. If this is your only possible play you just time out and lose the game! FIX THESE BUGS AND THEY WOULD DESERVE A 5-STAR REVIEW.
