Endlessly Replayable – Cardinal Quest 2 Review

This is a deep little Roguelike beauty. You play one of 6 character classes (with an unlockable 7th), using a broad set of increasingly powerful skills to contend with hordes of classic foes and mythic nemeses. Questing through an epic geography in 3 domains, you discard your common possessions to acquire mystic arts, wondrous items and legendary artifacts while developing manifold tactics and styles of play. Morale points accrue as you triumph or perish, and they are spent to open new paths for your characters to follow. Well composed music, 16 bit tiles and storylines vest the other game elements splendidly to make this an endlessly replayable gem.
