Ok app, not maintained – iQuassel Review

iQuassel is an ok app, if all you ever need to do is check IRC when away from your computer. And when I say check, I mean just reading. Beyond that, it’s not particularly useful. Some major gripes about the app: - Not updates for iPhone X or newer layout, so the app is letterboxed like this is 2012 all over again. - No option for tab-completing of nicks, so if you need to respond to someone with a particularly unique nickname in an active channel, good luck with that. - No push notifications, which is fine, but the app doesn’t even seem to support showing any type of notifications in the app when you receive a ping. - As another reviewer mentioned, there is no updating of the last-read line, which can result in confusing “didn’t I already read this?!?” moments when you get back to your desktop computer. Quite frankly, if I had purchased this app today in 2019, I would request a refund. The only way I would recommend purchasing this app is if you absolutely needed a way to keep an eye on IRC and didn’t have any other method.
