Glitch - can’t finish game – Secret of Grisly Manor Review

I can’t get the log in the fireplace to go away after pouring water on it so I can get the weight to go on to the next part. It keeps telling me there’s a log in the fire but it won’t burn, I’ve used many matches trying! Please fix!
