Great replacement for app I used to use – The Christmas List Review

I was heartbroken when the developers of the app I had been using for years discontinued the product, so I was on the hunt for a new (to me) gift list app to replace it. I tried a few in the App Store, but they weren’t as robust as I wanted, until I tried this one. Among a lot of other helpful features, I really appreciate the ability to add pictures to each gift. With three girls to buy for, it’s not always easy to remember which girl wanted which pair of leggings. The picture makes all the difference! I also LOVE the ability to select recipients for gifts that I’m giving to more than one person, so I don’t have to enter the same info more than once. Being able to attach a picture to each person is a nice feature too. That said, a few features I’d like to see: 1) syncing to iCloud so I can view the list on multiple devices and 2) having the option to rename the To do, Purchased, Wrapped, Shipped, Received labels. I order most of my gifts online and would like to be able to check them off when I get them in the mail. (Being able to enter a tracking number would put this app over the top, but that’s probably too much to ask!) Also, I don’t ship any gifts (to the recipients), so I don’t need the Shipping option. For me, the perfect list would be “Idea, Purchased, Received, Wrapped, Given” it doesn’t really matter what they’re called, as long as you can customize them. Lastly, I’d love to be able to add birthday gift ideas. I know I can just create a new group for birthday gifts, but it would be nice to be able to add the date and have it count down how many shopping days are left, like it does for Christmas. That would make it easier to remember when their birthday is too! The addition of one or two of these features would easily change my rating to 5 stars. UPDATE: I. LOVE. THIS. APP. This is my second year using this app, and I love it even more, so I’m changing my rating to 5 stars. Something I didn’t touch on last year is the ability to look at archived gifts for each person, so you can see what you’ve bought them in years past. Would be cool if you could do that for the different stores too (see what you’ve bought from that store in previous years). As for the labels (To do, Purchased, etc.) it’s not as big of a deal as I thought it was last year. I guess it’s all in what you get used to, right? Although they’re a little out of order for me, I can still use them to track which items I’ve ordered (Purchased), which online orders have shipped, which ones I’ve gotten (Received) and which ones still need to be wrapped. It’s a great way to keep track of everything. I’d still love to be able to sync it through the cloud, and keep track of birthday gifts, but one other wish list item is to be able to export the info. I wish I had some way to access the years of gifts I kept track of on the app I used to use, but once they stopped updating it, the app quit working and I lost all the info with no way to get it back. Being able to export each year’s info would prevent that from happening again.
