What happened, the previous rev was awesome!?! – Risk of war - Wartime Glory Review

I really really liked the previous revision of the game, it was so close to Risk, and I loved the expanded world map, but... the last rev was a complete redesign and all the good things about the game disappeared. Why is the game so clumsy now? Why is the map so small? Where is the expanded world map?
