don’t bother – Lost Echo Review

the company seemed to sink all their budget into artwork, none into story or user experience. it’s clear after five minutes of playing what your objective is, but you still have to spend thirty minutes going through the motions of letting your dumb character figure it out. in general on all puzzles, if you can’t guess exactly what the designers want you to look at when and in what order then you can’t make progress, even if the answer to a puzzle is clear, because the right dialog paths won’t be unlocked for you. the hardest part of this game is repetitively clicking through endless pages of monotonous dialog and monolog from characters you feel no love for at all. the graphics are pretty, but the game is shallow and not really pleasant to play. i uninstalled after an hour and wish i could get my money back.
