STILL Not working with iOS devices! – Iris by Lowe's Review

November 29th, 2018 Still does not work with iOS devices. Developer response is to use the web page. That stinks. That is not what I pay for in my monthly subscription with them. Recently purchased an outdoor smart switch, which apparently can not be paired through the website. It says we have to use the APP which still doesn’t work. Are you telling me that I need to have an android phone just for Iris? That you will not be supporting our devices? That we should look elsewhere for this type of system? It seems Iris is dying or dead and only waiting around for someone to buy them out so they can wash their hands of the whole thing. Honestly wish this system had worked. Iris, buy all of it back from me so I can start over elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble and purchase a more mainstream system. June 16th, 2018 These issues started in early May, just after the latest update. It’s been over a month now that the system does not work properly. Still does not work with any of my iOS devices. Still receiving the same error message. No further contact from tech support, last word was to use the web portal until a fix was found but there doesn’t seem to be one on the horizon. 4 star review had dropped to a 2 Star when the problems persisted. Now, with no fix in sight for so long, it has to drop to a 1. May 17th, 2018 We have had Iris since it was first offered at Lowe’s. We really, really wanted Iris to work. When it is working right, it’s awesome to have. Especially now that Google Home is integrated with some of the features. Bottom line though, it’s been about three weeks now that my iOS devices give the error message, “Loading Delayed. Check internet connection.” Support at Iris has tried to help but have no solution in sight. My security system, cameras, thermostats, lawn irrigation, numerous lights, and fans are all dependent on Iris working properly. We have Iris installed at my both my home and my rental property. Since it doesn’t work... I am stuck looking for a new system. For whatever reason, it works fine on all non iOS devices. It is exhausting to always have issues like this with such an investment. Save your money and try a different solution to your home automation. Maybe Iris will get it right in the future.
