Diner Dash with so much more depth. MUST BUY! – My Little Restaurant Lite Review

My Little Restaurant is a great management game that excels past other games of the same genre in so many ways. There are loads of unique features and a funny storyline that blows away games like Diner Dash and Sally's Spa. You play as a boy that's bored in summer, and you receive a call from your relative, who tells you to go and see him at a restaurant to "talk like a pirate and pet my cat". The levels in the lite version are all very fun, and it's basically like Diner Dash except for that there are various items that you can use to your advantage. There's a geisha that plays music, super sneakers, a jukebox, and so many other things that make this game fun and unique. There's also a burger making stage (level 3) where you are shown a picture of a burger with some fries or a donut occasionally and have to create the many-layered burger using ingredients. The levels are challenging to play, and you have to time everything out carefully, as people get mad and their gold star turns to red fairly quickly. The graphics are good for the theme of the game. Although some corners are jagged, and the words on the title screen could see some improvement, everything looks fine and is well-created. Other than that, My Little Restaurant is a well-polished game that is very enjoyable. Some suggestions for future updates: Right now, some of the areas in the game aren't sensitive enough. Whenever I go and take a customer's order to the chef, sometimes I have to tap on the counter several times before it registers my action. Part of the problem may be that the dirty dishes rack is pretty close to the counter, and the game thinks that I'm trying to put the order on the plate rack. Perhaps maybe separate the two slightly and make the areas a bit more sensitive? Also, it can get difficult to tell when the customer wants something, as their hands are small and hard to notice when they want to place an order. This could be improved by putting speech bubbles or an exclamation mark over their head, or simply making their hand bigger. It would be nice to have an upgrade shop where you could buy boosts, new decorations, better tables, etc. After all, you don't really do anything with the earned money right now, and everyone knows the little kid in the game doesn't need that much spare money, at least not until he starts spending it all on the girl. Finally, the levels end whenever the clock runs out, even if you are in the process of serving some guests. In an actual restaurant, you wouldn't leave right at 11 pm if that's when it closes if you are serving one customer. Maybe change the game so that when time runs out you're allowed to finish serving all of the people in the restaurant. The balance these effects, guests could stop showing up at an earlier time so that it's possible to serve everyone without extending the time limit too much. This is an amazing game, and I will be enjoying the full version probably very soon, and a lot more than I've enjoyed Diner Dash. These improvements would be awesome to have in future updates, and I'm really glad I found this game. Fantastic job to the devs. Everyone should and must buy this!
