Was a different game... – Alliance: Heroes of the Spire Review

Used to be top notch 5* game. Enjoyed the graphics the queable battles. Loved the hero artwork and the festivals/events. Then it changed... They started putting up paywalls and changing game mechanics that had been in place for over a year. Nurfed heros that players had spent a fortune in currency and time to create build and love. And the final kicker for me is the new added “rank” system. It requires specific dungeons to gain experience to rank up your hero’s. That dungeon event requires costly keys and without the exact hero’s/skill sets required to succeed we are forced to endure lower level Versions for pennies. 16 runs for 120rank exp when it requires 20000-43000 exp to advance. This change has just advanced the power curve and taken free to play or low spending players out of the end game. The biggest issue is to do the advance event levels requires a 5* hero. If you have terrible luck with playing the lottery you could spend a fortune and never end up with the required hero. Anyways these have led away from this game and left me unable to recommend it to anyone. As one of the previously well invested players I can’t imagine how it looks to a free to play player. Good luck and if you give it a go happy adventures.
