Not Happy at All! – Diamond Dash: Gem Puzzle Game Review

It started with the previous update…I wasn’t entirely thrilled with it, but decided to stick it out and wait for the next one. Well, the next one is here and, for the most part, all that really changed was the graphics and the layout. This app is now a memory hogging distant relative of its former self! This app was at the top of the list for memory used, and I use a couple of apps that used to be at the top. Those apps I knew used a lot of memory. As soon as this app was updated, all of a sudden, my apps began to behave erratically because I was approaching my maximum memory available. I went from between 11 and 12 GB used to 14GB used simply by the update for this app. It hasn’t been long enough for me to ascertain if any of the bugs were fixed or not because of the memory problem. I’ve playing for a long time and am considering deleting the app because of all of the unnecessary graphics. Oh sure, it looks good…but it decreases performance. I have an iPhone 6S plus and am not ready to upgrade my phone, which may be what developers are trying to force people to do. It probably works great, with no issues, on the newer phones. But, as far as I am concerned, the app, as it is, isn’t fun to play anymore. Why can’t developers simply focus on fixing the bugs in their apps? If they did this, they wouldn’t create new bugs by trying to improve upon a concept that everyone likes as it is. Anyways, I am going to delete it ASAP! I’m sure I can find something else to occupy my time with.
