Seniority levels are inaccurate – LinkedIn Job Search Review
Seniority levels are inaccurate. When you filter result to show only positions in the entry or associate levels, the app shows managerial positions that require 10 years of experience. This might not be LinkedIn fault. It could be the job poster’s fault for not categorizing the job accurately. That being said, Linkedjn could solve this problem by requesting the job poster to select how many years of experience required for the position rather than the seniority level. Based on this selection, LinkedIn should automatically categorize the job’s seniority level. For instance, if the job poster chooses 8-10 years experience required, LinkedIn should automatically, without giving this option to the job poster, categorize the job as a med-senior or a director position.
