“We’re not a pay to play” LOL – Boxing Star Review

This game has so much potential! From graphics to fighting dynamics, this game has exceeded my expectations. However, there are many things that are holding this game back, especially its pay to play structure. Even though the developers continually argue that this isn’t a pay to play game, it truly is. For example, if you want to level up a skill it takes 7 hours to gain 3 points. Meanwhile, other players will pay (or hack) to speed up their training and thus will be maxed out already. When you’re up against these other players it’s nearly impossible to win and therefore you’ll be stuck in the same rank the whole game. If you stay in the lower ranks you’re going to receive crappy boxing gear and with crappy gear you can’t beat other boxers and so you’ll essentially be stuck in the lower rank. All I gotta say is if you’re in a lower league, bless your soul because you’ll probably stay there for a long long time (unless you pay, of course). And when I mean pay I’m not just talking about 5$ or 20$, but more so $50-100. I have friends who’ve paid ~$30-40 and they’re still having trouble climbing the ranks! Something else the developers can improve on is actually listening to the communities feedback. If you look at their Facebook page, you’ll see how much criticism they’ve received. They recently sent out an update that made items even HARDER to get (if you play the game I’m referring to clans). The amount of points you need to get a gift box rose 10x! LOL. Despite feedback from the community, the developers continue to make items harder to get. So all in all, while they claim they’re not “pay to play”, it’s essentially pay to win. They make the game so hard that you’ll be stuck/progress at a crippling pace. Wish they would bring back Punch Hero. That game was actually fair in some ways. Developers, you should start considering the feedback of the boxing star community (instead of just claiming that you do).
