Skeptic turned huge fan! – Life Is Strange Review

Edit: Holy crap there’s a prequel??? In greatly anticipate that becoming available. I know there’s a 6 month time gap, but I kept thinking I could save Rachel, but now there’s a prequel with her? Much need!! ————— I had seen numerous pieces of beautiful fan art of the game throughout the years since it’s teasers. Being that I’m not a PC gamer, I was bummed because generally if there is a huge mass of fan art for something, it must be interesting. I tried to actually stay away from the game because I felt it was going to be overhyped. I even began shying away from it because I had seen so many comments that said the game would be good if the dialogue wasn’t so high school drama. Then I bought my new iPad and for the heck of it, searched for the game. I played Episode One just to get a feel for the game and actually found myself being sucked in. Since it appears it’s Max’s first year in college, the dialogue didn’t bother me so much. A little cliché but that’s understandable given the setting of the game and the environment. I think I’m about a week out since my purchase and I am on Episode 5. Definitely enjoying the game and second-guessing so many of my choices. Haha My only negative experience, if you want to call it that, is that every once in a while when I Rewind and fast forward through dialogue again only to change my choices, there’s a glitch where a character won’t move during the conversation. It’s not a big deal and doesn’t pull away from the dialogue, it’s more of a distraction all of a sudden. It doesn’t happen after the scene ends. Overall I am satisfied with my experience so far. It’s been stressful because I started second guessing my choices with Max second guessing the choices I made for her. Get it together, Max!! I’m trying to help! Although the outcome thus far in Episode Five would suggest I haven’t been as helpful as I thought. I can’t wait to play again!
