Amazing, with only minor quibbles. A+ game. – Exiled Kingdoms RPG Review

This game is incredibly good. It has a huge amount of content to explore, quests to take on, npcs to interact with, equipment to gather, and combats with different monsters. The controls work well, although occasionally it can be a bit tough during fighting. A few minor quibbles- it’s annoying to have to fight endless battles when moving between cities- could maps have less monsters appear on them after they have been mostly cleared once? Gaining levels with a more less grind would be good too. Also, while the vault system is useful, just giving a junk bag for heroes to store their kit in would be more fluid and lead to less having to traipse across several maps to find a city because I put my anti frost kit in the vault and encountered a frost cave. Additionally, while the journal is helpful for storing quest missions and revealed information, could this be transposed onto the maps too so as to make it easier to find quest locations after you have been told their location. Also, maybe five recommended minimum hero level numbers for each map section, which would help with players from accidentally running their hero into a level 15 map zone when just level 3, for example. Maybe check out Spider Software’s Avernum series for some ideas on how to do the junk bag and map quest transposition. I do somewhat wish combat was turn based but the real time fighting works generally well. These minor quirks aside, this game is spectacular. I have played for many hours now and it’s depth reminds me of Darklands. A must buy for any serious rpg player. One final note - the game starts off very hard: but don’t let that put you off - it’s worth persevering, really.
