Loved it through its few flaws – Creatures Such as We Review

I always love games that go out of the norm, and this one is no exception. I love (or hate? It makes me sad in a good way) that you can’t save your ghost friend and the agony of the avatar over it, I love the almost D&D level type of detail in describing the base- you can imagine yourself being there. That said there are some issues with it- the protag is rather bland and seems to have no personality. Some visual novel examples of great protagonists: Hajime from Danganronpa 2, sarcastic and sometimes overly cautious, but he still cares and wants the best for everyone (though the protags from the games following that one are pretty solid too) (And if you want a good main character from an indie game: Butterfly soup with Diya. She’s awkward in the most charming way and doesn’t speak quite properly but she has a passion for baseball and other silly things like dog parks) Also the other characters came off as quite flat as well, especially if you aren’t on their routes. There are also instances where you can say the most inoffensive thing and someone will be bothered by it or it will turn into a cringe fest somehow which is always great
