It’s a great game. Wish I could invite friends without Facebook – Deploy and Destroy: Ash vs ED Review

I recently moved far away from friends and family and I know they would all play this game if we could play together... but we don’t use Facebook. So many games only work with friends if you have Facebook or something similar. Why can’t we just have a player ID like 163667337 and just use that to invite our friends?
