Lost its charm – Don't Grind Review

The latest update adds currency in the game, making it feel like a grind (in the bad way). I will miss the items solely dedicated to getting you a high score (no more yellow stars!), which has been deemphasized in favor of collecting coins. The old versions had missions that you could complete to earn grindables, gone now. When you die now, a page ripped straight from Crossy Road comes up: Watch a video for more coins, you have X amount of coins left until you get a grindable. There is even an offer to pay $1.99 for more coins. I paid to remove ads, but the devs are trying to shoehorn them back into the game. A fun quick fix has turned into a cash grab that is no longer unique; unfortunate.
