Doesn’t work properly with iPhone – Freedom - Reduce Distractions Review
I tried this app because I specifically wanted to block apps on my iPhone.
It doesn’t work that way.Evidently it has something to do with the way Apple’s iOS is built.
There is a help page for this, but you must have an account to set up the block list (ie pay for the app). As I am still trying it out... I was therefore unable to properly test this.
So really it beats the purpose of the trial period.
The phone app has a settings page where you can flip on or if off what you wish to block. After leaving the app (still running in background) when I came back to it, it had reset all of the items I had selected and saved. The default block list Idid work on the web browsers (safari and chrome).
Basically… If you have a lot of time available to mess around with something like this, I’m sure it works fine. But the whole purpose of me getting this was to make sure that I was utilizing my time effectively. This is not an effective use of my time.
Oh... and it’s very expensive.
