Good vocabulary, but a liberal slant – Vocabulary Builder by Magoosh Review

The examples given help you remember the words, especially those you miss, but they often have a liberal bias. For jovial the example is supporters of the presidential candidate were jovial when she won the election. For misconstrue, the example is a politician who doesn’t trust journalists. For erratic, the example the president not getting re-elected due to an erratic level of support. For autonomous, the example is factory workers losing their jobs. For chauvinism, the example is people who aren’t vegetarian. For stipend, the example is someone with student loans who can’t get a stipend from the government. For insufferable, the example is someone who always tries to achieve more than others. The list goes on and it happens often; maybe once out of every 4 or 5 words on average and there aren’t correspondingly conservative viewpoints. It would be easy enough to avoid the underlying bias or at least to change some of these examples...jovial that he won the election, journalists misconstruing what was said, factory workers being more productive when working alongside autonomous systems, students working or attending lower priced colleges to avoid needing stipends from the government, people who belittle those who try harder are insufferable, etc.
