Beautifully Touching – Sky Guide Review
This app is seriously stunning and sets high standards for all other VR and astronomy apps- it’s breathtakingly beautiful and equipped with everything you need to start your journey across the stars- even if it’s only for a few minutes whenever the mood suits you. I love that I can alter the time and speed of the skies and how I can favorite stars and galaxies (and anything else) I want to come back to later. The reminders and notifications of events are also wonderful.
The information provided for each star, planet, and radio/satellite is spectacular!
It’s a gold mine of entertainment for children and it can fascinate other adults just as much.
At first I was just pleased with just the graphics and the novelty, but after finding out about lunar libration and why we never see the dark side of the moon- I couldn’t help but spend an hour reading about it until I finally made sense of it all- I was so blown away.
I don’t even know why- I just think it’s so amazing.
When I saw the first galaxy in the sky I couldn’t even believe it was a galaxy- I thought it was a star- yet it was this amazing and stunning collection of life laid out in black, like a spiral of diamonds.
Looking at it with this app made me feel so small- and I mean that in the best of ways. It gave me a sense of excitement for the unknown and instilled the once-lost wonder of knowing there’s so much more in existence than what’s here on earth.
It really puts things in perspective.
Simply amazing.
