I must be the definition of stupid... – goodNite - Alarm Clock Night Light Review

I'm turning my iPad upright but... There is no icon. Like the first reviewer, all I seem to have is a clock that changes colors. What am I doing wrong? I would be able to give more stars if I could find the icon to open the menu.
