Give the devs props but still fanboys... – War of Omens Review

EDIT:::: to the Devs Thanks for the response, I’ve changed my review to 3* just because of your comments. I tried to be fair to the team but still give my honest feed back without calling everything trash lol. Some of the remarks were aimed at other reviewers as well, at this point I thought they were devs talking up the game. As far as a counter strategy goes not much you can do when your deck is designed one way and the opponents deck is designed as a direct counter, most other tcgs I’ve played are not nearly as punishing as this when it comes to a counter deck. I’ve played a few games where I can’t use anything because I get a bad pool and my opponent from the first turn is able to leave me helpless. Not the best mechanic there is.... I feel I was honest with the packs, for a free game it truly is a good system. I did make a purchase for one gem to receive the silver packs, kinda steep for one card 2.99? Seriously for one card that is steep, that’s my one complaint about the freemium design but you guys have to make money so I understand. Did the campaign and have still been playing, but that doesn’t make it that much easier. Getting all the kinds of decks possible and then upgrading them is.... well maybe a campaign each would be helpful, I know more are coming but having barley enough cards to make a deck and then do the daily’s is just well no lol. I’m still playing the game and still churning along so I’ll redo a review later, as of now I don’t think there is any reason to delete my last review as I believe it is harshly fair. I would rather someone be brutally honest then sugar coat stuff and then you end up thinking everything is kosher so you don’t fix it. ORIGINAL REVIEW:: Must be the only ones reviewing this game as of now. There is no way the heroes are balanced, there is no way it doesn’t take 25 hours to get a good card. The game plays kind of like a rock, paper, grenade game. Some heroes just trump all other ones with no chance of you winning at all. Example would be a deck that has no creatures can manage to take every creature from your hand and keep you from even accumulating resources to play the game..... yup every hero can counter that my a**. It may not take 25 hours to get that good card but if you ever want to be able to use it then it will take 25 hours. You get cards after you level up your heroes or if you get lucky on a pack (albeit packs are decent and don’t seem to be mainly junk) and each time you get a duplicate card you get iron and exp. A decent card will have a summon cost of 10+ gold something you usually get 3-5 a turn depending on cards, you then have to spend over 400 iron to upgrade it so it costs 1 less gold that’s just for the first upgrade of a decent card I have yet to even attempt the rarer cards. The card packs are tiered, 300, 1000 and 3000 coins to buy and one that costs 1 gem. 300 coins are available to everyone,1000 ones requires you to make a purchase the cheapest is 2.99$ for one gem then the 3000 coin one requires 10$ spent. The tiers work by dropping off the most common drop each level, 300 contain common to rare 1000 drops off etc etc... you can earn one free gem a day by doing the daily quests and a free one once a week. One nice thing is the packs are fairly decent and do give you a nice mixture of common to rares in the 300 coin pack. TLDR: game is unbalanced and takes a while to get a competitive deck but card packs seem fair, albeit everything beyond the basic pack is behind pay wall.
